Manny Lopez, President
Manny is a proud OU alum, and this is his first year as President of the OU Club of Chicago. He previously served as Vice President of the club for three years. Originally from Tulsa, he played rugby during his time at OU. He is excited to work with the board of directors and members to make the OU Club of Chicago one of the top OU clubs in the country.

Adam Ramento, Vice President
Adam is a 2006 College of Engineering graduate. He has performed various roles for the Club since joining the board in 2012, such as Vice BAMF and Wu-Tang Historian. He is the proud father to new Sooner, Ronan Makana, Class of 2040, and is very very aware he is old.

Corey Walz, Treasurer
OU has given so much to Corey, from career opportunities to lifelong friendships. Having roots in Chicagoland, his mission is to make the OU Club of Chicago the greatest association in the country by providing networking opportunities, support for new alumni to the city looking for a surrogate family, and a great atmosphere to cheer on all Sooner sports teams. Most importantly, however, it’s to provide a scholarship for new and current students from Chicagoland. Our whole board is dedicated to this cause, and he could not be more proud to be a part of such a fantastic leadership team.

Rachel Walz, Scholarships
Rachel grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from OU in 2012. She has spent the past five years in Chicago and has been on the board for the OU Club of Chicago for three years serving as the board’s Scholarship Chair. Rachel is responsible for assisting in fundraising efforts and ultimately choosing each year’s scholarship recipient. Each year, the OU Club of Chicago awards a scholarship to a deserving high school senior or current student from the greater Chicago area who is bound for the University of Oklahoma.

Ty McCarthy, Member at Large
Ty is a Kansas City native who moved up to Chicago in 2014 after graduating from OU to pursue a career in Urban Planning, who is currently working as a real estate broker. While at OU, Ty was on the executive board of The Big Event. In his free time, Ty is a freelance graphic designer, blogger, vexillologist, and at night you might find him performing some improv at Chicago’s legendary iO Theater. He is excited to serve on the board for the first year so he can spread a little “sooner magic” to more people in Chicago.

Scott Cooper, Business Development
Scott moved to Chicago in 2013 after earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at the University of Oklahoma. Originally from O’Fallon, IL, Scott found his way to Norman by way of OU’s Track and Field team, where he spent four years running for the Sooners. As a new board member, Scott’s vision is to help grow the club’s pillars for professional development and philanthropy. FUN FACT: Scott is currently living in enemy territory as he is a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan. Boomer Sooner & Go Cardinals!
